This course has been designed to address the training requirements published by EASA and FAA with regard to the changing certification and continuing airworthiness needs of EWIS on large fixed wing aircraft type certificated after 1st January 1958 to carry 30 passengers or more, or a cargo payload of 7,500lbs or more.
The course is aimed at all people involved in the design and certification of changes and repairs to the above aircrafts.
The course covers the following;
- EASA Part 21 Subpart J Design Organisations
- In summary it will cover the following aspects:
- The background that brought about the regulatory changes
- What the regulatory changes are
- A detailed review of the new Subpart H and AMCto EASA CS 25
- A review of the FAA equivalent regulations
- A review of the Enhanced Zonal Analysis Procedure (EZAP)
- A review of EASA AMC 20 leaflets: 21, 22 & 23
- Practical examples of compliance planning
- Practical examples of demonstrating compliance
- An awareness of the continuing airworthiness management needs of EWIS
- Note: This course is not just for Avionic/Electrical engineers. Other specialists’ work also impacts
- on EWIS
The course will be a two day classroom based PowerPoint presentation.
