This one-week supplement to the Associate Certificate in Environmental Management is designed to develop and strengthen the environmental management skills of health and safety practitioners and other suitable candidates. Emphasis is placed on integrated pollution control and selection of the best practicable environmental options.

The course covers the following;

  • Monitoring emissions (air, water, waste and noise)
  • Air pollution control, effluent treatment and disposal of hazardous waste and environmental noise control
  • Selection of the best practicable environmental options using:
  • cost–benefit analysis
  • risk assessment
  • environmental impact assessment

  • Environmental auditing in effective pollution control management
